Seaeye LYNX Pipeline inspection of the Brunei Methanol Company (BMC) pipeline and SPM mooring points.
DISA contracted with Des Offshore, as the Singapore representative for KL PETROGAS. KL PETROGAS requested DISA for support services to perform ROV services to perform subsea ROV inspection. The Seaeye Lynx has been used for the survey of the 3 km pipeline and 5 crossings of the BMC pipeline. Furthermore the ROV has been used for general visual inspection (GVI) of Single point mooring buoy anchor points. The support vessel was SK Line 79.
The main components of the ROV set up includes the ROV with Tether Management System (TMS), Crane Launch and recover system (LARS) in one skid. Furthermore a control container and a stores container will come with the system.
The open frame ROV construction and a 37kg payload capacity allow a wide range of tools and sensors to be carried, as well as bolt on tool skids. The ROV can carry inspection and sonar equipment. It is also fitted with a manipulator skid to actually be able to lift from the seabed or remove debris if detected.
