Tunnel filling robot

To prevent collapse of a rainwater drainage tunnel, fortification was needed by filling them with gravel. The tunnels were built about two decades ago and a possible collapse would endanger adjacent and above located structures.

The tunnel has a length of almost 2 kilometers and depth of approximately 35 meters. A trail run for the project was done at an indoor complex to make sure that the engineered robot system worked as planned.

DISA for the first time in its existence developed a special control container able to control the underwater robot that was designed ans developed to fill the tunnels with gravel. DISA was engaged for remotely operating the robot as well as for diving works for general assistance and proper launch and recovery of the robot.
